Seemandhra Telugu Desam MPs have demanded the Centre to recall the AP Reorganization Bill sent to the state Assembly as it is “incomplete and vague”.
Telugu Desam MPs met at the residence of Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chodhary and came out with their demands on the T Bill.
The TDP MPS demanded the Centre to hold talks with all stake-holders, find out solutions for the issues raised by the three regions of the state and then draft a new Bill.
A similar demand has been made by Lok Satta national president Jayaprakash Narayan in the state Assembly. Being a former IAS officer, JP is quite conversant with such issues. Soon after the Bill was tabled in the Assembly on Monday, JP met Speaker Nadendla Manohar and submitted him a written request for information on at least eight specific issues.
JP told media persons that the AP Reorganization Bill as sent by the President is incomplete and it has several gaps and call for additional information. JP in fact asserted that a “meaningful debate” will not be possible with the current Bill as the basis and this has forced him to seek more information on specific issues.
