Kurnool: Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday demanded that capital of the new Seemandhra state should be set up in Rayalaseema region, if Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated.
Speaking to the media here, Rajasekhara Reddy said that the formation of separate Telangana State will take a back seat, if Rayala Telangana proposal gains more importance. He opined that if Rayala Telangana has to be carved out from the current AP, amendments to the Constitution will be required.
He questioned TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and the YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy as to what they are doing even when a proposal to divide Rayalaseema is making progress.
He made it clear that his party will approach court against any move for Rayala Telangana.
