Senior Congress leader and former minister JC Diwakar Reddy was once again at his satirical best, on the party high-command.
He made an interesting comment when he said: “If General Secretary in-charge of state Congress affairs Digvijay Singh is saying that there is no chance for President’s Rule in the state, it implies that president’s rule will be definitely imposed in the state.”
JC said the high-command has turned “deaf, dumb and blind” and that is why it is acting in a stubborn manner on the bifurcation issue without heeding to advice from its leaders. He said that the Telangana Bill may not after all, come to the state Assembly, going by the high-command’s aggression.
“The party leadership has buried its Seemandhra Congress leaders in a 7-foot deep gorge,” he lamented.
He expressed sorrow that though the situation demands that he leave Congress party, it is difficult for him to do so, as he belongs to a family that has been with Congress for generations.
He even advised APNGOs to stop the strike and join duties, so that poltical leaders can take care of the movement from now onwards. He said the NGOs are continuing the strike hoping against hope that Centre will listen to them.
