AICC official spokesperson Sandeep Dikshit today reiterated that the Congress party is committed for Telangana state and there was no question of going back.
Speaking to media here, Dikshit said the party is committed for formation of Telangana and the Antony committee would elicit opinions on five to six subjects. Later, its report would be included in the draft note on Telangana, he said.
Referring to seemandhra leaders' comment that the note of CWC on Telangana should be torn off, he said “it was their personal opinion”. He further said Lok Sabha speaker has not accepted the resignation of seemandhra MPs till now.
Replying to a query whether Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy would resign opposing CWC decision, he said “it is his personal matter and the issue of his resignation is between him and party high command”.
Dikshit, however, refused to comment on the resignation of Andhra Pradesh minister Vishwaroop saying that it was a state related matter. Vishwaroop tendered resignation in support of samikyandhra.
Meanwhile, in-charge of Andhra Pradesh party affairs Digvijay Singh invited APCC President Botsa Satyanarayana to Delhi, sources said.
Botsa is likely to leave for Delhi tomorrow and would request party president Sonia Gandhi to send Antony committee to the state.
