The BAC meeting has decided to start the debate on the AP Reorganization Bill, 2013 in the state Assembly from Wednesday and the session will continue until Friday.

Question Hour will remain suspended in the House till the completion of T debate and the sessions will start from 9.00 am. The two Houses of state Legislature will again meet in January 2014 to continue the debate. Dates of the session will be decided by Speaker Nadendla Manohar and state Legislative affairs minister Sridhar Babu.

Another BAC meeting will be held to determine the Assembly sessions after the Christmas recess.

The YSRCP members and Seemandhra TDP legislator Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu staged a walk-out from the BAC meeting. Gali demanded in the BAC that no debate shall take place in the Assembly until a resolution is passed by the state Assembly in favour of bifurcation. When the BAC rejected his demand, he staged a walk-out while his colleague from Telangana remained in the meeting.

YSRCP leader Vijayamma reiterated her party’s demand for passing a resolution on Samaikyandhra in the House. The YSRCP made it clear that it will not allow the Assembly to function, as there were violations galore in the T Bill and in the procedures adopted by the UPA government.

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy told the BAC meeting there will be voting on each and every clause of the Bill.  Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha told reporters after the meeting, that another BAC meeting will be held to take a decision on the debate that will take place in January 2014.

Apart from the Cm and Deputy CM, state ministers Raghuveera Reddy, Sridhar Babu, State Government’s Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, Whips Arepalli Mohan and Eravarti Anil took part in the meeting.

Gali Muddukrsihnama Naidu and Mothkupalli Narasimhulu form TDP, Etela and Harish Rao from TRS, YS Vijayamma and Shobha Nagireddy from YSRCP, Julakanti Ranga Reddy from the CPM, Gunda Mallesh form the CPI and Jayaprakash Narayana from the Lok Satta.

The BAC of the state Legislative Council was held before the Assembly’s BAC, where it was decided that the debate in the Council will follow the same timing as decided in the state Assembly’s BAC meeting.
