BHOPAL: Railways will run many special trains for three-day Aalmi Tablighi Ijtema - 2013 (international Islamic religious congregation), beginning from December 14 to clear extra rush of passengers. The congregation is the largest Islamic gathering after Haj in Mecca and the Ijtema in Bangladesh.
Both Central Railways (CR) and South Central Railways (SCR) have decided to run two special trains each between Gulbarga and Bhopal and Kurnool City and Bhopal, respectively.
The new train (01221) introduced by Central Railways from Gulbarga to Bhopal will leave Gulbarga at 8 am on December 13 and arrive at 4 am next day. The same train (01222) will leave Bhopal at 11 pm on December 16 and arrive in Gulbarga at 11 pm next day. It will stop at Solapur, Daund, Manmad, Bhusawal and Khandwa stations.
Similarly, South Central Railway (SCR) will run two special trains between Kurnool City and Bhopal to clear extra rush of pilgrims coming for Ijtema.
Train number 07619 Kurnool City-Bhopal special train will depart from Kurnool at 10 pm on December 12 (Thursday) and arrive in Bhopal at 10.35 pm the next day.
In the return direction, train number 07620 Bhopal - Kurnool City special train will depart from Bhopal at 7.25 pm on December 16, Monday and arrive at Kurnool at 7 pm the next day.
Enroute, special trains will also stop at Mahabubnagar, Kacheguda, Malkajgiri, Aler, Jangaon, Kazipet, Jammikunta, Ramagundam, Sirpurkagaznagar, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Itarsi and Habibganj stations in both directions.
These trains will have 14 coaches - 6 sleeper class, 6 general second class and 2 second class luggage cum brake coaches.
More than 350 school and college buses are being pressed into service for people to reach venue of the congregation.
The routes of more than 70 minibuses would also be diverted for convenience of those going to Eintkhedi for congregation. The bus routes would remain diverted till December 16, the last day of the congregation.
