Activists of Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi Student Federation staged a protest at the residence of Union Minister of State for Railways Kotla Jayasuryaprakasa Reddy here on Tuesday.
They urged him to intervene and ensure relocation of capital at Kurnool. The leaders of Rayalaseema in 1956 of jeopardized the interests of the region by allowing shifting of capital to Hyderabad and inclusion of Bellary into Karnataka.
The region paid a heavy price because of the bungling.
The students urged the Union Minister to at least push the agenda for protecting the interests of Kurnool
