Kumbakonam (Tamil Nadu): In a tragic event ahead of Deepavali, eight persons were killed and some injured after crackers exploded at a fireworks manufacturing unit near here on Friday, police said.
The workers were at work in the unit at Olukacheri when the crackers exploded suddenly. The injured have been rushed to hospital.
