The Two Town Police arrested three student turned chain-snatchers here on Monday. Deputy SP Y.V. Ramana Kumar said the students of BBM and Engineering had incurred huge debts. Therefore, they chose to indulge in chain-snatching.
The gang, which carried out offences in two groups, indulged in four incidents of chain-snatching. The police recovered four gold chains while the fifth one was sold by the accused.
