YSR Congress party leaders in the district are gearing up for Samaikya Sankharavam meeting to be held on October 26 at Lal Bahadur stadium in Hyderabad against the Congress party’s decision to bifurcate the state.
Leaders from various parts of the Rayalaseema region have been concentrating on mobilising a large number of people from every nook and corner of villages.
With the High Court’s clearance to the proposed public meeting, the leaders of YSR Congress took up various innovative programmes to motivate the public to attend the meeting.
It may be recalled that the police had denied permission for the meeting on the pretext of law and order. But, the High Court granted permission with some restrictions. Separate trains would be engaged from various parts of the region for the meeting.
A separate train was engaged from Guntakal in Anantapur district to cover public from Adoni and Guntakal areas, YSRC leader Kasiprasad Reddy said.
He told media at Adoni that party was providing all facilities to the public attending the meeting on October 26. Hundreds of buses were already engaged by the party cadre at division and constituency level.
At least 300 buses would be plied from Kurnool city alone for the meeting. A YSRC MLA said, “Our meeting would surpass the participants of APNGOs association meeting.”
The Sankaravam's spirit is being spread through songs, streetplays and through conventional art forms, like Burra Kathalu, against the bifurcation of the State, leaders said.
