No President's rule: Shinde

HyderabadUnion home minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Tuesday denied reports that the Centre was contemplating to impose President’s Rule and take over administration in Andhra Pradesh.
Emerging from the Union Cabinet meeting in the morning, Shinde, however, said that the Centre was concerned about the ongoing agitations in AP and was in regular touch with the state in order to end the ongoing stir by the power staff, which has resulted in complete blackouts in certain areas, affecting movement of trains etc.
“How can you expect the Centre to impose President’s Rule when the President is not there and with the Prime Minister leaving for China today? It is all speculation, we have no such plans,” Shinde said. He added that there had been no discussions during Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting regarding the matter.
