Hyderabad: The prolonged strike by the state employees belonging to Andhra and Rayalaseema under the aegis of APNGOs Association is likely to be called off on Thursday. The APNGOs and other government employees’ organisations who are on strike since August 12 will resume talks with Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday.
APNGOs leader P. Ashok Babu, lobbying with the top brass of the administration for Thursday talks, gave indications that they too would follow suit.
Ashok Babu on Tuesday met General Administration Department secretary (political) N. Siva Sankar and discussed about the agenda for Thursday’s meeting.
“The Chief Secretary asked us to prepare a representation on how the Article 371D plays a crucial role consequent to the Centre’s decision to divide the state. We will submit the report in a few days,”Ashok Babu said.
