Hyderabad: Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde has ruled out chances of imposing President's Rule in the state over agitation against Centre's move on bifurcation of AP.
The Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Saturday ruled out chances of imposing President’s Rule in the state on account of the ongoing agitation against Centre’s move on bifurcation of the state.
“Presently there is no such decision, law and order situation in the state is by and large under control, we (Centre) have been observing the situation in the state from time to time,” Shinde said during the customary monthly briefing on the home ministry affairs in Delhi.
When asked what would be the status of Hyderabad capital city, the Union home minister said, “Presently we are working on two to three proposals on status of Hyderabad, but I cannot share any information on this until we formulate the proposals.”
Shinde also denied reports that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had threatened to resign from his post in the event of division of State.
“There is no such threat from the Chief Minister, it is all baseless,” he said.
