Samaikkya agitators hurl chappals, stones at TGV

Kurnool: Minor Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh experienced the ire of Samaikyandhra movement in his home town Kurnool on Sunday.

The Samaikyandhra advocates tried to obstruct the minister when he tried to visit the Sri Krishna Devarayalu statue. The lawyers raised slogans against the Minister to ‘go back. They also demanded that the minister tender his resignation in favor of Samaikyandhra movement. Some agitators also hurled footwear and stones on the minister’s convoy. In the melee, one ‘chappal’ hit the minister’s baldy head.

Incensed over the chappal throwing incident, Venkatesh came out from the convoy and reminded the crowd he was the first person advocating Samaikyandhra from the beginning. Earlier, the Samaikyandhra agitators had pasted wall posters stating that TG Venkatesh was missing at his house and at his hotel.
