He also suggested that setting up of a second SRC is the way to go.

In his press meet, Kiran endeavoured to highlight the issues and problems that will arise in the major irrigation sector. And before telling about the problems that will arise if state in divided, he made it a point to explain how the construction of mega projects like Nagarjuna Sagar, Sri Sailam and Pulichintala was made possible only because the state has been united over the past 58 years.
Before going into the irrigation issue, he called upon the 6,58,000 striking government employees to terminate their strike.He revealed that out of the Rs1300 crore salary bill for month, only Rs 300 croe has been paid so far and Rs.1000 crore is with the government treasury.
He explained how NagarjunaSagar project was made possible with the submergence of 70,000 acres. For Sri Sailam project, about 88,000 acres were submerge in Kurnool and Mahboobnagar district.
He pointed out that the Centre has not come out with a mechanism to address the irrigation problems.
Every year, 10.6 percent of population is added to the population of Hyderabad and its urban environs. Most of them come for employment, education and business purposes.
Dwelling on the subject of government employment, he said that employees are striking because of several concerns including the zonal system and Article 371 (D). “A bond was created by Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallbhai Patel between the people. And this bond was reinforced by Indira Gandhi through her statement in Parlaiment in 1972.
