AP: AP NGOs President Ashok Babu today said all Seemandhra MPs should resign if the draft note on Telangana was presented before the Cabinet.
He was speaking at a “meet the press” programme here. Replying to a question, he said that their main demand is that all the public representatives belonging to Seemandhra including ministers and MPs should tender resignation if the draft note on bifurcation was placed before the central cabinet.
The people of 13 districts in Seemandhra have been protesting against the CWC decision taken on July 30 and they are on roads. Seemandhra people have been extending support to the agitation launched by AP NGOs in support of united state, he said and expressed his gratitude for the support.
Ashok Babu further said if a resolution on Telangana state was moved in the State Assembly, they will urge MLAs of Seemandhra to oppose it.
He said the government has invited them for talks. But they have informed the government that due to pre-occupation and meetings of the forum today and tomorrow, it was not possible to participate in the talks.
He expressed the hope that the government would invite them again.
