YSR Congress Party candidate and sitting MLA from Allagadda,
Sobha Nagireddy died in a road accident near Allagadda around midnight
on Wednesday. She was on her way back to Allagadda from Nandyal after
taking part in a road show where her husband Bhuma Nagireddy is
contesting as YSRCP candidate for the assembly seat.
According to reports, her vehicle skidded off the road while crossing a
patch of grain spread on the road for drying by farmers. The vehicle
overturned and rolled four times causing severe head injuries and
multiple rib fractures to Ms. Sobha Nagireddy.
She was rushed to hospital at Nandyal and after initial treatment
shifted to Care Hospital at Hyderabad. According to eye witnesses, she
was found bleeding from ears due to head injuries after the mishap.
Along with her, two security personnel and driver were also hurt in the
mishap.
