Addressing a press conference, Bhaskar Rao expressed regret that allegations have been levelled against him with regard to state bifurcation. Semandhra TDP leaders like Bhaskar Rao reiterated his earlier statement on August 3, that bifurcation of the state will not be a reality. Bhaskar Rao asserted that he was a staunch “Visalandhra” activist in the past and remains one to this day.
He dismissed the AP Reorganization Bill as being an “exercise in absurdity” and alleged that the Bill seems to be prepared by those with a vengeance towards Telugu people.
He lambasted “those who prepared the Bill” for being so negligent in drafting the Bill, despite many of them being well-known lawyers.
Senior Nadendla’s press meet came after Seemandhra TDP leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy demanded Speaker Manohar not to toe his father’s line, suggesting the famous “backstabbing” of the then Chief Minister NTR by Nadendla Bhaskar Rao, who replaced him as Chief Minister in a coup.
Another TDP MLA Palle Raghunatha Reddy has alleged that Speaker Manohar is toeing the Congress high-command’s line in return for a Governor’s post to his father!!
