Kurnool: Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy today alleged that AICC president Sonia Gandhi was trying to split Rayalaseema region at the instance of MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday after meeting State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy, Byreddy reminded over 1,000 youths sacrificed their precious lives for the sake of separate Telangana State and not for Rayala Telangana. The RPS leader alleged that the cunning Seemandhra leaders have been raising the issue of division of Rayalaseema only with an intention to protect their encroached lands in the region. “We will not accept Rayala Telangana at any cost”, he warned.
The RPS leader reminded that Telangana movement was launched right from 1956 demanding de-merger of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh. He also said the State BJP president had assured him that his party would not agree for Rayala Telangana.
