New Delhi: When YSRCP leaders led by its chief YS Jaganmohna Reddy met CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechuri to seek his support for keeping the state united, Yechuri was quite happy.

Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Yechuri said: “Our party’s stand has never changed since the last 40 years. I myself lost two years of my academic life when I was evicted from Osmania University. And I had to move to Delhi for my education. Since then, there is no change in our party’s policy.”

Yechuri said he was happy after Jagan met him, since his party will not be alone in demanding for keeping states formed on linguistic basis undivided.

On his part, Jagan said that his Delhi tour has no political agenda and his only aim was to keep the state united. He said that YSR Congress is alerting and seeking support form other parties, for their demand to amend Article 3 of the Constitution, so that it is not misused by any single-party Government or a coalition which has a simple majority in the Parliament
