Minister for Minor Irrigation T.G. Venkatesh launched Rachchabanda at Municipal High School Grounds here on Monday which was a low-key affair.
Addressing the meeting, he said the beneficiaries identified in the previous round of programme would be distributed house site pattas, ration cards, pension and will be enrolled for Bangaru Talli programme.
He wanted the people to apply for household benefits if they were not covered even by now.
He assured that the colonies where new houses were built would be provided with all basic amenities like water, power and roads.
He said 23,000 beneficiaries were sanctioned pension, 73,000 house site pattas and 1.11 lakh ration cards were distributed.
He said foundation would be laid for 38 public utility buildings during the third phase of the programme. Also, 2,500 girls would be enrolled for Bangaru Talli programme.
The Minister said that there was no compromise on Samaikyandra, which they were pursuing in the last ten years under the banner of Rayalaseema Hakkula Ikya Vedika.
Meanwhile, Minister for Law and Courts E. Pratap Reddy launched the programme at Mahanandi.
