A team of officials of Medical Council of India (MCI) inspected the Kurnool Medical College here on Wednesday.
MCI members Dr. S.K. Tuda and Dr. Mukesh inspected the departments of surgery and orthopaedic to examine the infrastructure in the wake of request for enhancement of seats in both specialities.
The Kurnool Medical College made a request for allotting 18 additional seats in both the wings citing the infrastructure and high turnover of trauma cases in the hospital. Dr. G.S. Ramprasad, principal, who coordinated the visit said the team expressed satisfaction in some areas and made suggestions for further improvement of infrastructure. Superintendent Dr. Umamaheswar was also present.
