Hyderabad: APNGOs seem to be getting ready for one more showdown with the Government. They will meet on Sunday to chalk out their future course of action, if the current forward movement by the Center on the bifurcation issue continues to hold steam. Speaking to media persons, President of APNGOs P. Ashok Babu expressed shock surprise that the Centre is going forward on the bifurcation issue although it has not arrived at solutions for the 11 issues the GoM has raised on the Telangana issue. Ashok Babu said that period between November last week and Decemebr 20 is crucial for the future of AP. According to him, JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda has already assured his support to thwart the bifurcation Bill, if Centre goes ahead without resolving the contentious issues to the satisfaction of all. The APNGOs will meet top leaders of Trinamool Congress, DMK and AIADMK during the first week of December. According to Ashok Babu, the Attorney General of India G.E. Vahanavati has advised the Government that it will be difficult to move forward without either amending Article 371 (D) or removing it altogether from the Constitution. He said that even the Home ministry has held the same view. Ashok Babu said the Union ministers hailing from Seemandhra region have still time to resign and join the movement of the people for Samaikyandhra. He warned that if they continue to pursues “packages,” the NGOs will ensure that they are defeated in the 2014 elections. APNGOS will held rallies starting from Amalapuram from Friday. Rallies will also be held in Anantapur and Madanapalli.
