TDP MPs, MLAs and MLCs holding demonstration in front of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s  residence at 10, Janpath, were arrested by Delhi police.

After TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu’s fast at AP Bhavan against the manner in which decision to bifurcate the state was taken, it is now the turn of its leaders and workers.

TDP cadres including some MPs and MLAs of the party, have held demonstrations in front of 10, Janpath. Several women workers of the party attracted attention by shouting slogans against the Centre for foiling Naidu’s fast-unto-death.

Their protests continued even as Naidu is continued his ‘deeksha’ at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he was shifted on the fifth day of his fast on Friday. TDP leaders have said that Naidu’s Deeksha has entered sixth day today.

They tried to remove barricades and their efforts were foiled by security persons. MPs including Modugula Venugopal Reddy and CM Ramesh, MLAs Payyavul Keshav and Palle Raghunatha Reddy, MLC Yalamanchili Babu Rajendra Prasad sat in protest against foiling Naidu’s fast and shifting him to the hospital.

Speaking to media, Rajya Sabha member challenged YSRCP to hold a similar demonstration along with the TDP cadres.
