New Delhi: Speaker Meira Kumar has rejected the resigantions tendered by 13 Seemandhra MPs of three different parties.
The Speaker has obtained the explanations of all the MPs who had resigned two months ago protesting against the Congress party’s decision to carve out Telangana from Andhra Pradesh.
The rejection of resignation letters was amply indicated a few days ago when the Speaker’s office revealed that there is no obligation on the speaker to take a decision in a given time frame.
In the last few days, the Speaker’s office has given indications that the resignations may be rejected.
Speaking to a private news channel, Amalapuram MP GV Harsha Kumar, said he has received a phone call from the Speaker’s office and is waiting for a written reply form the Speaker’s office.
