New Delhi: Speaker Meira Kumar’s office has informed YSRCp president and Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy and some of the Seemandhra MPs who have submitted their resignations in protest against the decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh, to appear personally before the Speaker on an individual basis.
The Speaker’s office has further made it clear that a decision on their resignations cannot be taken suddenly.
The Speaker’s office has acknowledged the receipt of resignation letters submitted by 13 MPs in all from Andhra Pradesh. Seven of the MPs who have resigned, have met the Speaker so far, Meira Kumar’s office said.
Her office directed other MPs who have not met her so far, to seek appointments to meet personally. The MPs requird to meet the Speaker included- YS Jaganmohan Reddy (YSRCP), Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Kanumuri Bapiraju, GV Harsha Kumar (all Congress) and Konakalla Narayana (TDP).
