New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs is likely to suggest Union Territory status for , according to sources. They also said that Vizag and Vijaywada are front runners for Andhra capital.
Sources said on Monday that the capital should be a city with an airport, hence these two cities of and Vijaywada are being considered for the moment.
The remarks came in the backdrop of the protest by Seemandhara MPs overin the Monsoon Session of Parliament. There have been continuous protest in Seemandhara with the state witnessing bandhs regularly. As soon as the Congress Working Committee endorsed the decision for separate state of Telangana, there have been protest by the party MPs and TDP MPs. Even Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy did not want to divide the state.
