Seemandhra Cong. MPs to meet Speaker

New Delhi: Tension is likely to build up once again, as office of Speaker Meira Kumar has given appointments to six of the Seemandhra Congress MPs who want to request the Speaker to accept their resignations.

Lagadapati Rajagopal,Vundalvalli Arun Kumar, SPY Reddy, Raya[ati Sambasiva Rao and A Sai Pratap will meet the Speaker at 12:00 noon on Saturday. Saturday is a holiday for all central government establishments.

These MPS have resigned in the past few weeks in protest against the CWC resolution which favoured creation of Telanagana by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh. 

Earlier, the MPs made all efforts to meet Speaker on September 24 but the meeting could not take place as programme of the Speaker has to be changed on that day. MPs are facing severe pressure from people of their constituencies on the latest decision of Congress party in favour of bifurcating Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, APNGOS predient and chairman of Samaikyandha paririakshana Vedika, P. Ashok babu has called upon MPs and Union ministers representing AP, to submit their resignations well before the Telangana Bill reaches Parliament.
