Hyderabad: Congress MLA from Nandyal Assembly Constituency in Kurnool district, Shilpa Mohan Reddy, on Tuesday resigned from the party protesting against the CWC decision to bifurcate the state.
Kuna Srisailam Goud joins Cong
In the meantime the MLA from Qutbullahpur in Hyderabad, Kuna Srisailam Goud joined the Congress party in the presence of AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, in New Delhi.
Speaking to the media later, Srisailam Goud conveyed his sincere thanks to Sonia Gandhi for fulfilling the cherished dreams of the people of Telangana by granting a separate state. He pledged to strive hard to strengthen the party to ensure Rahul Gandhi’s elevation as Prime Minister of the country.
