New Delhi: Seemandhra Congress leaders including Union ministers and MPs met Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and apprised him of the furore caused by his remarks on the draft Cabinet note on state bifurcation.

Speaking to media after their meeting with Shinde, Union minister Killi Kruparani said that Shinde gave them a favourable hearing and assured them that any step forward will be taken only after the AK Antony-led high-level committee gives its report.

MP Ananta Venkatrami Reddy said that the Seemandhra leaders conveyed the problems that cropped up as a result of his draft Cabine note comment and the feelings of the Seemandhra people. 

Former minister and Rajampet MP A. Sai Pratap said that the cabinet note on Telangana has not yet been prepared.
