Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi has asked the APNGOs Association to exempt the RTC and government educational institutions from the ongoing indefinite strike in Seemandhra against the decision to divide the State.
MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga here on Saturday said that if the APNGOs did not respond to their demand, then they would have to forego their right to organise their meeting at Hyderabad. Common people and Dalits would suffer if the RTC buses were not operated as they could not afford private transport and education of students from poor families would be affected if the government schools were closed. The MRPS would organise a meeting with thousands of SC, ST, BCs at the same venue on September 6 to pre-empt the meeting of APNGOs on September 7 if their demand was not met, he said. Mr.Krishna Madiga criticised APNGOs President Ashok Babu for demanding TDP president to take back his letter in favour of Telangana, give his commitment to united State before touring in Seemandhra. If Ashok Babu, being in Telangana imposed such condition, serious consequences would result.
He demanded that Hyderabad should be kept as common capital for only one year instead of 10 years for the benefit of poor. There were cities like Kurnool, Vijayawada, Ongole etc., in Seemandhra with airports and more facilities which could be developed in a short span of time.
