Hyderabad/New Delhi, Aug.24: UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi has announced in Delhi today that a Committee will  be constituted from  the Government side to hear the grievances and problems of the people of the affected regions, following the decision on division of the State. She reminded in this context that Antony Committee was appointed  to hear the  views of leaders of the party and added that the Government would appoint a committee now.

She also said that the Telangana state creation process has started, and assured that steps would be taken to ensure that no injustice was done to the people of any of  the  two regions.  In the process of bifurcation, justice to one region and injustice to the other will not be done, she assured.

Sonia Gandhi made the announcement at the inauguration of National Information Centre at New Delhi. The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was seated  beside her when she made the announcement. She has not, however, spelt  the details and modalities  relating to the proposed Committee.

Observers feel that from the remark  of Sonia Gandhi that the T state process has begun, it is very clear that there was no  proposal to tack back the T state decision, but the  panel was meant to hear the grievances of the affected regions and take forward the bifurcation process.
