Panyam MLA Katasani Rambhupal Reddy announced his intention to resign from the Congress party to protest against bifurcation of the State. Mr. Reddy said here on Wednesday that he would form political JAC to carry on the fight in support of Samaikyandhra.
Meawwhile, TDP leaders anointed the statue of NTR as part of the protest against State bifurcation. TDP district president Somisetty Venkateswarlu and others criticised the Congress government for creating unrest in the State and causing economic crisis. Doctors protested by examining patients on the streets and shouted slogans against bifurcation. At Nandikotkur, private schools conducted garjana programme to protest against state division.
